Chair Dave Plyer called the meeting to order at 7:08 p.m. A quorum was established.

In the absence of the Secretary, the Chair took responsibility to record the minutes.

Reading of the minutes was waived. Minutes of Executive Committee meeting of April 16, 2007 accepted as submitted.

• Chair to ask for the resignations of Susan Biszewski-Eber and Chimurenga Waller as members of the Circuit 6 Juvenile Justice Board appointed by the Pinellas Juvenile Justice Council. Waller has missed all three Board meetings since his appointment and Biszewske-Eber has missed the past two Board meetings.
• Chair to update the Council’s 3-year strategic plan as approved by the Council at its public meeting of February 22, 2007.
• The Committed established these "new business" agenda items for the August 23, 2007 Council meeting:

1. Establish a Nomination Committed to elect Council officers and to replace Council appointees to the Circuit 6 Juvenile
    Justice Board
2. Establish the Council’s 2008 meeting calendar
3. Member Brian Pitts to present draft language with which to approach the state legislature for funds to cover the
    administrative costs of juvenile justice county councils.

• The Committee established these "new business" agenda items for the September 27, 2007 Council meeting:

1. Elect Council Officers
2. Adopt 2008 Council meeting calendar
3. Appoint member(s) to the Circuit 6 Juvenile Justice Board to fill vacancies of current appointees

The next meeting of the Executive Committee is Monday, October 15, 2007.
