Secretary, meeting minutes were taken by Membership Registrar Cathy Corry.
Approval
of Minutes
Reading of
the May 24, 2007 meeting minutes was waived, without objection. Meeting minutes
were approved as submitted.
Report
from the Chair
Chair Dave
Plyer provided a brief review of the following topics:

Council demands apology from Circuit 6 Juvenile Justice Board
Chair Calvin Harris.

Grant review update: With no objection of Council, Chair will
contact DJJ’s OIG (Office of Inspector General) to request investigation
into the grant process.

The Chair report was
submitted for the record.

Chair announced next Council meeting is scheduled for
Thursday, July 26, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. at Seminole Community Library.
New
Business
-
Cathy Corry moved, seconded by Matt Sullivan, that the July
26, 2007 Council meeting be cancelled. Motion passed unanimously.

Doug Dallier moved, seconded by Dennis Segall that the
Council Chair contact DJJ’s OIG to ask for an investigation into the grant
award process. Motion passed 6 AYES, 1 NAY.

Matt Sullivan moved, seconded by Brian Pitts, to reconsider
the previous motion, to include this phrase ‘as it applies to Pasco and
Pinellas counties and the Sixth Judicial Circuit’. Motion passed
unanimously.

event scheduled for Saturday, July 14, 2007, 8:00 p.m., at Archibald Beach Park,
