 Call to Order

Chair Dave Plyer called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Roll call was taken. A quorum was present.

The Secretary was absent and no one volunteered to take the minutes. The Chair announced that, in the absence of a Secretary or someone to take notes, there would be no business conducted. The Chair prepared these minutes for the truncated meeting.

Approval of Minutes

The October 26, 2006 meeting minutes were not acted upon for lack of a Secretary to take notes.

Report from the Chair

The report from Chair Dave Plyer was received and placed on file. Included in the report was correspondence between Council Chair Plyer and the Pinellas County Assistant Attorney about the lack of reappointment by the Council of Ken Welch to the Circuit 6 Juvenile Justice Board.

New Business

There was no new business.

Council Member Announcements

  • Council Member Bruce Wright reported on a silent protest, planned by the NAACP for inauguration day, to call attention to the delays in the investigation into the boot camp death of Martin Lee Anderson.
  • Council Member Bonnie McClelland announced details of a suicide prevention symposium.
