Call to
Order:
Chair Dave Plyer
called the meeting to order at 6:42 p.m. A quorum was established.
In the absence of the Secretary, the Chair requested that meeting notes be taken
by Cathy Corry.

Meeting Minutes:
Minutes of the
9/18/06 Nomination Committee meeting were approved as submitted.
Minutes of the
9/18/06 Executive Committee meeting were approved as submitted.
New
Business:
Circuit 6 Juvenile
Justice Board Member Nominations and Ballot -
Slate of nominees is finalized: Jim Coats, Susan Biszewski-Eber, Greg Pound,
Norm Roche, Dwight ‘Chimurenga’ Waller, and Bruce Wright.
Cathy Corry presented the board member election ballot for review, which was
unanimously accepted for use at the 10/26/06 Council meeting for election of
board members.
Matt Sullivan will draft proposed letters to former board members and to new
board members.
Agenda for the 10/26/06 Pinellas County Juvenile Justice Council meeting was
established.
October 24th School Board meeting, Council presentation regarding
arrest moratorium -
There was
discussion about Council member Bruce Wright sending an email announcement
without the approval of the Chair. Chair Dave Plyer said he will communicate
these concerns to Bruce Wright. Chair also will send authorized announcement to
all e-addresses that Bruce Wright sent announcement to. The authorized meeting
announcement will also be posted on the Council website, www.PinellasJJC.org.
