Nomination of Candidates Matt Sullivan resigned as Chair of the Nomination Committee. The Executive Committee will serve as the nomination committee. There are two elections in the next two months September and October. At the September Council meeting (9/28/06), the four Council Officers (Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Membership Registrar) will be elected. The term for Officers is one year. Then, at our October meeting (10/26/06), the Council will appoint six representatives to the Circuit 6 Juvenile Justice Board. Board members serve for two years.

You must be a Council member to participate in the election and appointment process. Send the names of your nominees to me.

Before you submit a name, contact your candidate to be sure he or she understands the duties of the position and is willing and able to carry them out, if elected. Nominees for Council Officer must be a Council member. Board members do not have to be Council members. For more information, refer to the Council bylaws particularly Article V Officers and Article VII Board Appointments.
