Attendees:

Matt Sullivan, Council Vice Chair and Nomination Committee Chair
Dave Plyer, Council Chair
Cathy Corry, Council Membership Registrar

Call to Order:

Nomination Committee Chair Matt Sullivan called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

At the request of the Chair, Cathy Corry agreed to take meeting minutes. 

Nominations:

> Nominees for Circuit 6 Juvenile Justice Board Members:

The Chair reviewed the criteria and expectations of Board member nominees in relation to Florida Statute, Board Bylaws and the Board’s quarterly meeting schedule.

To develop a slate of Board member nominees, the following people were named as potential nominees and will be contacted to determine if they will accept the nomination based on the criteria for Board membership:

  Dwight Waller - Uhuru

  Debby Bolen – Parent, Advocate

  Jim Coats – Pinellas County Sheriff

  Richard LaBelle – Family Network on Disabilities

  David Krahl – YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg

  Norm Roche – Candidate for Pinellas County Commission

  Clayton Wilcox – Pinellas County Schools Superintendent

  Luis Murphy – Progressive Mt. Zion

> Nominees for Pinellas County Juvenile Justice Council Officers:

Any person nominated for a Council officer position must be an active member of the Council.

The Chair stated that he will send an email message to Council members describing the criteria for nominating Council officers and Board members.
