Dear Members:
In conjunction with the release of our 2005 – 2006 Delinquency Prevention Grant Request for Proposal, I would like to
re-establish the guidelines in which the grant review committees are to conduct the review of the approved grant applications.
There
will be a mandatory grant reviewers training, via video teleconference (
The
2005-2006 grant review process has changed; therefore, grant reviewers are required
to attend the mandatory training.
If members of the grant review committee cannot attend the Grant
Please
adhere to the following:
►
Delinquency
prevention providers are prohibited from serving on grant review
committees
►
All grant review
members must read applications individually.
No contact should be made with the applicants during review of the
application
►
All grant review
members must score the grant applications individually and submit the
completed score sheet to the chairperson of the grant review committee
►
Grant applicants cannot
make presentations to the grant review committee
►
Grants can be
discussed among the grant review committee members only after the grants
have been individually scored
►
No individual
scores or score sheets can be changed by any member of the grant review
committee. Mathematical errors may be corrected by DJJ Delinquency Prevention
staff
►
Scores are to be
tallied and recommendations are to be submitted in writing to the Department of
Juvenile Justice, Delinquency Prevention Specialist, by the board chair
►
Public notice is
required prior to any Grant Review committee meeting.
