School-Related Charges in Pinellas County Public Schools
School Year 2004-5 through 2Q 2006-7

Students in Pinellas County public schools were subjected one hundred three (111) unique charges applied 3145 times between July 2004 and December 2006.*

However, 32% of all counts came from two (3) charges: Disruption of School Environment and Disorderly Conduct. It is these two charges for childhood “behavioral” conduct that should no longer be applied in public school.
